Wellbeing and mental health officer
Wellbeing is a state of mental health that includes different aspects of
health such as physical, emotional, social, spiritual and financial which
allows individuals to realise their potential, cope with normal stresses
of life and thus contribute to their community.
Purpose of the job:
The purpose of this position is to support the MHPSS unit to oversee quality improvements in Save the Employee’s mental health and psychosocial support interventions for staff.
Essential Criteria:
- Ability to work flexibly as part team.
- Ability to use own initiative and work individually with people
- The ability to liaise and communicate well, both orally and in writing, with managers and teams .
- A commitment to the Equal Opportunities and awareness of issues related to social and healthcare provision.
- A belief in and commitment to utilising the value of lived mental health experience through the provision of peer support
- Competent internet, office and administrative skills, including Microsoft Office programmes, good internet research skills and willingness to utilise remote working practices
- Some experience of working in mental health settings or similar environments, either paid or unpaid.
Knowledge and Understanding
1.Understanding of people who work under stress and with a big workload.
- Good background about mental health.
3.Curiosity, and ability to reflect on your own process when working with challenging groups.
